We are thrilled to announce that on Sunday, January 19, 2025, the Thundersquad Drumline and Monarch Majorettes of Heartbeat Music & Performing Arts Center secured 1st place for Best Drill Team at the 43rd Annual Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Parade in San Diego.
The parade commenced at 11 a.m. on Harbor Drive, proceeding south from Ash Street to Pacific Highway. This year's event was one of the largest celebrations honoring Dr. King's legacy, featuring dazzling floats, phenomenal high school bands, drill teams, colleges, universities, fraternities, sororities, churches, and various community organizations.
Our Thundersquad Drumline delivered an electrifying performance, setting the rhythm that resonated with the crowd, while the Monarch Majorettes captivated onlookers with their dynamic and synchronized routines. Together, they exemplified the spirit of unity, excellence, and the enduring legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
